11/9/2021 at 6:00PM Meeting will be virtual and live streamed on the is page per AB 361 - Committee members please check your email meeting invite - Public members please submit your comments to the Google Form while the meeting is live - form will turn on at the start of the meeting around 6 PM. Comments will be accepted the first 10 minutes of the meeting.

AB 361

  • Brown Act flexibility extended by AB 361
  • Provides flexibility (but does not require) to meet remotely or virtually through January 1, 2024.
  • AB 361 provides school district’s Committees with the ability to meet remotely during proclaimed gubernatorial state of emergency that remains active
  • Streaming (or broadcasting) is required for each remote meeting and members should be visible (on camera) for proof of quorum
  • AB 361 requires that public comment be made during the meeting. Comment can include internet-based service options (such as Google form submissions being read live) or live calls/video conference. This does not prohibit communication (feedback) from being sent in writing advance of the meeting.
  • Committee must reaffirm by a majority vote the need for remote meeting(s) every 30 days. Language similar to: The committee has reconsidered the circumstances of the emergency and agrees that the emergency continues to directly impact the ability of the members to meet safely in person so the next meeting will be virtual.
  • If meeting streaming or public comment time is disrupted, the Committee cannot take any further action on any agenda until the technical issue is resolved.
